I thought Persona 3's battle system sucked because of the idiot AI companions. God, it was such a chore to train. I was always scared to die right before the teleporter because of an idiot spamming a magic that would hit multiple targets, thus making enemies get back up instead of staying down (and kills the main character in one hit after with an overpowered attack, whoop de doo!).

That is true. It was alot of fun jumping the enemies once I had them all down and making different personas though.

Assign tactics, people. Everyone to knock down. That's it.
The only problem in this game was mudoon/hamaon before I had homunculuses. Overall, with the way I played (grinded into dust) the game was super easy. The last boss was pathetic and I did away with both stregas in 2 hits thanks to Helel. Heaven's Blade (extremely high critical rate+very strong attack)+auto-mataru+all out attack. Done.

I got my ass owned by the final boss quite few times because it would go into uber hax mode when it was almost out of hp.
