probs wont be 360 exclusive, thats why Bungie split from microsoft so they could make what they want. so microsoft has 'NO RIGHTS' to anything other then Halo that Bungie makes, thsy can do what they please 

Incorrect. They have right of first refusal to publish all Bungie games. Bungie split so that they could create any new IP they want and so they won't be locked into the Halo franchise for the next 20 years. MS still has the rights to publish every game they make, meaning they can lock any Bungie creation onto the Xbox platform.

You don't really think MS let their best first party developer walk away with no strings attached, do you? They still own a party of the company, I think.

That doesn't force Bungie to stay exclusive : They just have to ask MS first to publish their game. They can perfectly ask MS to publish a PS3 version of the game... and if MS refuse then Bungie can turn themselves to another publisher... 

intresting, although they can lock any game into 360, doesnt mean they can have it as an Exclusive though.. if bungie wanted it Multi-plat then MS would have to let it go to another publisher or have to publish it for PS3/Wii/PSP/DS. whatever they wanted

Yeah, technically Bungie could go multi-plat but I don't see it happening unless they decide it would be fun to make a Wii game. I don't see it happening, really. They have zero experience outside the PC & 360 environment (excepting their ancient Mac games) and I don't see them wanting to step on Microsoft's toes like that. From what I've read, the two still seem to have a solid relationship (and they should, after all MS let go their biggest games division asset out of courtesy), similar to what I see with Sony and Naughty Dog/Insomniac.

This. They will be doing Halo till the end of time.

Finally, after doing Marathon, Myth, Oni, etc., they only worked in Halo, they're talented enough to do great new IPs...

They can, but they don't have to. Plenty of game developers can but they don't want to relearn how to do everything to make it work on another console. Valve can make L4D on the PS3 buy they don't feel like it.
