Well, let them exploit Lightning. I think we have nothing to lose. The game will remain the same. Squenix is trying too much to bring newcomers. They are afraid of sales being below the previous installment.

Well, Fiasco for you and others. For me and others they were great games. Final Fantasy XII was one of the most fun games i have ever played. Vast worlds. They really outdone themselves to give us sensations of magnitude. |
It's not that I think they were bad games, it's just that they didn't feel like FF games anymore. More like a MMORPG and Elder Scrolls mix.
My themeforest portfolio:
Nice cover! I liked the PS3 better because of the colors. 360 too much white! the green also ruin it for me (but more legs for 360 cover
).

Don't forget every new generation that kind of game costs even more. Final Fantasy is no Dragon Quest, no Pokemon, that will sell even if they never had high end computer generated graphics. With Final Fantasy VII Square entered a new process of surpassing every previous installment in terms of production values. They are afraid about Final Fantasy XIII. It appears HD niche has very diversified taste for games. They can't count anymore with adamant Final Fantasy consumers. Wii, DS or PSP was never a possibility for Final Fantasy XIII, because of what was started with Final Fantasy VII. We will see now if Square was cursed or blessed. I hope for the second option!!!! I liked every single Final Fantasy game!! Don't let Final Fantasy wither and die! The video game world (we) doesn't deserve it.

Great European cover :D Simple and powerful, and what better way to transmit the feeling of the game than to show of the main character itself.

I was hoping it'd be like the other covers in the UK - white with just the logo on it. I've always loved the arty simplicity of that design.

TBH from designers point of view this cover is nothing extra, boring composition. It's a lovely render but that's about it. Lighting still looks like a dood. Also her leg to hand ratio is really weired, she has a fat booty.
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

This design is rubbish, we shouldn't stand for it. I'm sure that can be changed with a little complaining. Now if I can just find SquEnix Europe contact details...
Hmm, pie.

A gray/white gradient background, a picture of Lighting and the logo up in the corner! No background, nothing inspring. Not that it will affect my desicion of buying it though, I put my trust on SE for the last time after the FFX-2 and FFXII fiasco. |
I could've made all the other FF Europe Box arts before FF13 on MS Paint in less than 2 minutes
this is a STEP UP!
