Ok. Here are some old series that I think would really make for some fun games now.
The Strike Series.
Urban Strike, Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Nuclear Strike and probably a couple others. These isometric helicopter shooters were just damn fun. They'd also make for some awesome downloadable games, be it 3d or 2d.
Future Cop L.A.P.D.
Apparently this game was the result of development on the final and unreleased Strike game (wow, I didn't know that). The 3d shooter fest with platforming elements definitely deserved a sequel that never came. Especially the multiplayer Precinct assault, which was just plain gloriously fun.
Carmageddon
Perhaps the game is just too risky for today's market (which always touts pushing the envelope while simultaneously staying the hell away from anything actually controversial), but the openworld racing of Carmageddon just made for so much fun. This race, should I race? Derby? run over pedestrians, stunt drive or just explore? The wealth of options and playability went so far. It's definitely time for a new one.
Road Rash
Race motorcycles and beat people at the same time!? That's a Bingo! But this particular game is a special case, as it quite possibly the most perfect title for the potential of Wii controls. Steering the bike with the Analogue and using the Wiimote to actually club your opponents is just plain perfect. I fell that the lack of a RoadRash Wii is one of the greatest disappointmetns of this Gen.
Myth
No not Myst! Myth! The amazing Realtime tactics game in which dwarves threw molotov cocktails. The third game killed the franchise, but if Bungie took it back they could make one hell of a game
