They made a movie off of it!?!?! Who in the right mind would let that happen! The only way a movie like that woud work if is it was 100% CGI.

OT: I'd say you could add improved gameplay mechanics, I would like to see the one game they were working on, but was canceld. Dark Chronicles iirc It coved the time span between BO 2 and SR 1. It looked great and I would LOVE to see it brought back to life. I mean Kain is by far my favorite character in the series he just was so badass. The game really just needed some improvement on mechanics, which next gen hardware is more than capable of doing.

Ok. Here are some old series that I think would really make for some fun games now.

The Strike Series.

Urban Strike, Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Nuclear Strike and probably a couple others. These isometric helicopter shooters were just damn fun. They'd also make for some awesome downloadable games, be it 3d or 2d.

Future Cop L.A.P.D.

Apparently this game was the result of development on the final and unreleased Strike game (wow, I didn't know that). The 3d shooter fest with platforming elements definitely deserved a sequel that never came. Especially the multiplayer Precinct assault, which was just plain gloriously fun.

Carmageddon

Perhaps the game is just too risky for today's market (which always touts pushing the envelope while simultaneously staying the hell away from anything actually controversial), but the openworld racing of Carmageddon just made for so much fun. This race, should I race? Derby? run over pedestrians, stunt drive or just explore? The wealth of options and playability went so far. It's definitely time for a new one.

Road Rash

Race motorcycles and beat people at the same time!? That's a Bingo!  But this particular game is a special case, as it quite possibly the most perfect title for the potential of Wii controls. Steering the bike with the Analogue and using the Wiimote to actually club your opponents is just plain perfect. I fell that the lack of a RoadRash Wii is one of the greatest disappointmetns of this Gen.

Myth

No not Myst! Myth! The amazing Realtime tactics game in which dwarves threw molotov cocktails. The third game killed the franchise, but if Bungie took it back they could make one hell of a game

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

How about Black from Xbox and PS2. That game was pretty tight and had a fun co-op. I would buy a sequel

I have heard that black 2 was in the work but who knows if it is just industry speculation or not.

Here is a game no one has mentioned but I think deserves some love Tobal Series.
The first two games were huge and awesome. I would love to see a 3rd come out with online tournaments 100 charecters and several modes of play.

Legacy of Kain was pretty awesome and given some backing I think it could make a nice leap to the next gen of course it might never recover from the god awful movie made based from the series. What would you keep or add to make it better other than improving the graphics.

I didn't know there was a movie. Even though it might be the worst ever VG to movie adaptation I still want to see it. I really think the vampire lore represented by this game is BOOM! to the power of BOOM! superior to the vampire lore trash we are seeing on TV and in the movies these days, especially when you add in the time travel dimension of this story. It's such a convoluted plot that it does your head in, and I like that. There would be a good movie in there but alas no one ever puts the required effort into VG adaptation movies, so best left as it is. Can anyone point me to where I can find this fabled gawd awful movie?

LoK series was a big favourite of mine from PS1 and 2 (though I never managed to play either of the Blood Omen games). I've watched all of the cutscenes from every game (including the ones I've played) on Youtube. If they were all run together they'd make a pretty engaging story by themselves. But the LoK story has come to its natural end. I was very satisfied with the way Defiance wrapped up the story, and while I was sorry to see the series come to a close I think it would be a mistake to open it up again. I wouldn't mind a spin off based around the lives of Vorador and/or Janos Audron. Vorador was a key behind the scenes manipulator in the main story, so it would be cool to flesh out his story a bit more.

Another Eidos game that was gaming at its best was Fear Effect. I think that game could definitely do with a reboot or a sequel. I'd like to see a HD Hana if nothing else.

I like your taste in games Stof.

Totally agree on the Strike games, Road Rash and Myth. Awesome games back in the day.

I had Desert Strike on the Mega Drive, with no saves it was a really tough game.

I was playing Myth only a few months back. Putting the game in slo-mo with the dwarves tossing cocktails and watching the enemies explode in showers of gore. Great fun.

I think KOTOR 3 would be great but what about a Jade Empire 2 that was one of the best games on XBOX.
