Forums - Nintendo - Should Square port FFXIII to Wii?

No matter what screenshots or whatever people put up, FFXIII can't be ported to Wii. Its just not possible, from a technical standpoint.

Frankly, the 'HD' consoles got FFXIII and Wii got DQX.  I consider it more than a fair trade.

I bet the Wii can't even handle the title screen.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

Edit: I really think that Square believes there is no market for their games (casuals) and this is why you will probably not see any main series game from Square on the Wii.

So have you never heard of Dragon Quest, or....

Well he did say "Square" (the company that had to get bailed out) rather than "Enix" (the company that did said bailing).

Now don't you try to help him Mr. Man

Neither of those companies exist anymore and you know it

Nonsense. Both of those companies live on in my heart. I miss the SNES/PS1 era... : (

You only miss Enix because they published Ogre Battle in the states!

All I know is I would love a FF game, but I will never buy a FF:CC game.  I hate spin-offs.  They are NEVER as good as the real thing.  So no FF:CC games for me.  Just like I will NEVER buy a FPS on-rails shooter, no matter what franchise it comes from.  I would have bought a traditional 3rd-person Dead Space on the Wii in a second for the controls alone, but since it's a rail shooter, I had to pass.

I hope they do,

But they won't. Did I shatter your hope?

"Just like I will NEVER buy a FPS on-rails shooter, no matter what franchise it comes from."

So Sin & Punishment is all okay with you?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
