What's preventing people from stealing this site's numbers?

3. TheSource, from what I've heard, is a paid employee of the site. I doubt he'd leak the numbers to some random person and betray ioi.

2.) Hm, is there any real way to prove that this imaginary person copied? I mean.. he could easily just as well claim that he gets the data in a similar fashion as Brett, or that Brett copied him.

3.) What if this random person were to pay twice what TheSource usually earns? :P

1. No, not really.

2. Well then, he'll go through the same issues about credibility that this site sometimes faces. Difference is that this site will be already be popular.

3. It wouldn't matter, ioi would wonder how these leaks are going out, and he'd find out eventually.

you'll face huge credibility issues, especially when VGChartz runs a week late and you are forced to run a week late too.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

In the end of the post type " Source: VGChartz". Wait for responses like "VgChartzlol", "VgChartz its not a reliable source", "Nobody care about VGChartz' numbers", etc.
