Listen, did you enjoy the first AC? well, this is multiple times as good!
And yes, the side missions really really improved not the same missions all over again each city

I would have given the first one a 7/10 due to what dib8rman said, and an overall repetitiveness after the first 4-5 hours or so.

hm, I want to trust your word and Radiant Dawn has been ticking me off.
I'll wait until someone can give me a run down of how long the game is, if it's past a certain amount of play time then I'll look into it.

I am about 10 hours into the game and I am loving it so far...trust me the story and gameplay gets much better when you reach Venice...excellent plot and gameplay especially the side quests...Personally I feel that this game is better than Uncharted 2 (which is my 2nd favourite game for 2009)...Hope you enjoy this game
This game has one of the best settings in a game ever, I can't get enough of it. If you know the history of Florence and the surrounding districts then this story will make it even better. It's cool how they go about the story with real life characters but make different depictions based on real events. The game starts off kinda slow but after about an hour of playing you begin to get hooked.
Damn, extended vacation. You're a lucky guy
