Toward 500k?

What the hell happened there...?

Preliminary sales numbers. PS3 BF sales week has increased from 400k to 450k to 500k. X360 remains on 325k.
It is a good publicity stunt for VGChartz- more visitors will see the numbers.
Anyway November NPD sales numbers will reveal all including BF sales numbers for all consoles.

Do you still think the 360 outsold the PS3 then?

If PS3 keeps selling so well we going to have more better games without Sony having to pay for timed exclusivity like competition does.

360 got murked

PS3 beats 360 by around 200k units NA. All up including Europe and Japan numbers PS3 ends up beating the 360 by around 300k units for the week in world wide sales. I do not accept those sales!!!

it is hard to conclude anything for the future since there were special bundle with very good pricing
it is also hard to not mention Sony is increasing his PS3 market for the future but still losing money on hardware and bundle

BUT

it is still obvious to me that those sales mean 2 things :

- PS3 is still too expensive for a console meaning a lot of people cant buy it (recession !) that results in a massive effect for each new price drop or bundle or special sales
- PS3 is a VERY appealing console and the brand is still VERY strong in NA despite the 360 success

The PS3 has still a lot of growth potential in NA IMO.
