Sorry if this has been posted, or brought up in another thread.

With God of War Collection selling very well. From what i hear that is the case. But now if God of war 3 sells very well too, do you think they will actually end the series.

I just don't see them stopping with the 3rd, specially if it sells and not to mention it would be the first on the new gen system.

I personally hope it ends with the third... I wouldn't mind prequels and spin offs, but no more direct sequels.

it will probably end, but it would be awsome if they made a new series where you play as Zues and defeat the titans in the end, that would be awsome

It's probably the end of that particular storyline but, They're probably gonna make spin offs and prequels and such.

I hope they end the tale of Kratos, and make a spiritual successor to the series set in the Nordic region.

I just hope that Kratos' story will end. I wouldn't want Santa Monica to stop doing action games of God of War caliber, so maybe have them do Heavenly Sword 2. Or a new Nordic God of War as others suggested

Story focused series have to end some time. Without Kratos it isn't God of War, just like MGS isn't the same without Snake.

well like lurker said, god of war is nothing without kratos so being as though kratos is the pinnacle character in the series we will need a true successor that could take his throne or santa monica could make some prequels or so but the kratos saga is beginning to see a ending path.

and lurker metal gear solid can be without snake as we can see with the soon to be released metal gear solid: rising.
