here we go...

so my old ps3 got YLOD, got a new slim 2 weeks ago, went to rent a movie from the PS store (Funny People w/ adam sandler), sony had no problem taking my money, the order went thru but it wont activate so i can download says '1 ps3 already activated and i need to deactivate it'

i went to account management and it only allows me to activte for GAMES but not for VIDEOS.

how do i de-activate a ps3 that dosent work?

did you ask PS3 nicely?...if you invading his personal space without permission your gonna piss it off ( which results in options disappearing)

from what i understand you are allowed to have 4 or 5 ps3 activated to the same account. i oly have 1 activated... and it has YLOD i can not de-activate it. my new one only allowes me to activate the GAMES option

i'm pretty sure video content is only able to be active on one ps3 at a time sry. You can call sony but i heard they are very difficult when it comes to deactivating stuff.

Call Sony and they can deactivate YLOD systems as long as they have been sent to them for repair.

your gonna have to call SONY and have them de activate it, happened to my friend too
