Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Split it down the middle, and you get a 100,000 lift - putting Wii at ~130,000 (vs. 55k week one Dec 2008).

Wii is going to be damn near double its previous December in Japan.

@Avinash I'm talking about Japan sales only.

MKWii=2.37 million

NSMBDS=5.73 million

Like I said not quite half the sales on less than 1/3 the install base and with a 2 year head start. Depending on when Nintendo decides to discontinue the DS I can see MKWii getting close to NSMBDS lifetime in Japan.

You have a point. Although I did say that I thought it would move 100k anyway. That's basically a gaurantee at this point with Samurai Warriors. And really, last weeks numbers weren't solid evidence that NSMBWii moved a ton of hardware. I'm sure it moved some but I think the majority of that number is down to the seasonal boost.

Couldn't be, last years boost was % wise a lot smaller, and last year had a game as well, Animal crossing, and since this year has been down most of the year a lot compared to last year I'd say a lot of last weeks increase had to be NSMB Wii
