i would just like to say that i own all 5 current gen consoles and dont consider myself to be a biased gamer. i read tons of reviews on games and tend to use gamerankings because i thought they show a good average score. however, recently i have discovered that thier system isnt as fair as i might have once thought. whilst browsing one day i noticed that Official Nintendo Magazine UK & Playstation Official Magazine UK's reviews aren't taken into account for the overall average. at first i though that was fair enough as official magazines tend to over mark games especially first party ones. however i then discovered that Official Xbox Magazine UK's reviews are put towards the final score. i fail to see how this is fair? does anyone know why this might be?

For what its worth, Gamerankings is run by Gamespot. Many have accused them of 360 bias in the past. This will just add some fuel to that fire.

I prefer metacritic to gamerankings.

gamestats.com for me. I like IGN's network better than gamespot's network.

Yeah, IGN is where its at :) I don't know if Gamespot is biased. I just think most of the Gamespot reviews like games made for only teens and above that offer good graphics and lots of challenge. Personally, those types of games are usually not my cup of tea.

The only problem I have with gamerankings is that most of the time they only summarize the reviewers tastes. FPS for example are some of the best scored games.
