I remember the Uncharted 2 selling 2M by years end thread. I think Numonex said it would be lucky to even hit 800k-1.2M.

Perhaps it would have been better to start a crow-eating thread instead? A thread where people own up to their own embarrassingly bad predictions. I usually have more respect for people when they admit they've made mistakes.
