Those are some pretty nice pics, especially from the SLS

I'll be updating my pics after I hit 30. I'll taking massive photos of the X1

Thanks. I personally love my Maserati GT and SLS Photos the most. Espeically the SLS one at the Lucerne Bridge!

Can't wait for those X1 photos!

And I forgot to answer your previous question, I bought the SLS instead of winning it at the SLS Academy since there was no way I could get all Gold over there lol.

It will be some days before I get to 30. The levelling system is pretty screwed after 27. I need 400K to get to level 28 and I only have 240K, even with the Lv. 27 endurance done. I dread to think how much Exp will be needed in the post 30 levels >_>.

It's a shame that online doesn't allow you to win Cr or Exp, which is kinda odd, since in GT5:P you could gain Cr from the online races.

Finally got to Lvl. 28 and unlocked Indy 500. This is the first endurance to actually have an useful prize, the Jaguar XJ13 Race Car (it's one of the three cars needed to win the Dream Race Trophy).

Also, farmed enough Cr to buy myself a shiny (albeit used, a lot) Formula Gran Turismo, these things drive like mad xD.

And finally, here's a nice pic I took from the Ford Focus RS rally car on Toscana

first in a many part series of inside sim racings review of GT5

I was in Kuala Lumpur recently and I had the chance to visit a large Playstation event that was held outside of Times Square. The event was mostly based around Gran Turismo 5 but it also had televisions reserved for Playstation Move titles, Street Fighter/Tekken and some other titles that I didn't pay too much attention to. They also had a small PSP booth.

Concerning GT, there was one screen with 3D capabilities, but it was not accompanied by a racing wheel setup. To the left of that screen, there were about 5 PS3s and 5 regular Bravia LED TVs accompanying them. They all had a racing seat and some sort of gaming cage to hold the wheels and pedals. Two of them had a Driving Force GT and the other three had Logitech G27s. Along with all that they had three race-prepped vehicles (Mitsubishi Evolution X, Subaru Impreza WRX and a Mazda RX8) with Some Gran Turismo branding but not too much to give it a genuine performance car feel as opposed to feeling like they(Sony) went over the top with branding.

The Playstation Move had about 4 televisions crowded with casuals. I assumed they were casuals as there were children with some looking as old as 6, as well as adults who didn't look 'tech-savvy' based on the way help was required often. I don't usually associate teenagers with casual gaming  - as I myself, am a teenager and completely overlooked the possibility of other teens not being like me -  but there were plently that looked like they were having fun.  The games they had set up were: The Sly Collection, The Shoot, Singstar Dance and another game whos name escapes me (My sincere apologies). From what I could tell, some people enjoyed the shoot, but I think the words 'boring and repetitive' may have crossed their minds as it wasn't long between the cycling of turns. I didn't pay much attention to Sly, but children were the main participant. Singstar Dance had the teens and the young adults by storm, they really seemed to enjoy it a lot. Smiling was apparent and lots of laughing from trying to synchronise moves.

Oh, they were also giving away free copys of games, peripherals/accessories and even Playstation 3s.

Sorry about going off topic with the part about Playstation Move, I thought that I may as well have told the whole story.

I need some help right now.

I'm stuck on my International A License 10. The one where I have to come at least 7th in the Gallarado.

Now the reason why I'm having a bit of trouble is because I can't bump into the AI and when I try to overtake some and slightly bump into them, it counts as a disqualification, which is pissing me off right now. The best I've gotten so far is 9th Place and since it's only for 1 Lap it's even harder.

What are some tips for the A License 10?

That's the one in Grand Valley Speedway right? You have to be extremely aggressive on that one.

There are four major passing points in the track:
- The first right 180º corner, you can brake late and go wide, coming out with a lot of speed which will give you a couple of places in the next sequence of corners.
- The second right 180º corner, do the same again, this time make sure you stick to the inside of the corner instead of going wide. Even if you get out with less speed, you'll be better positioned for the next slow corners.
- The 90º left corner before the tunnel. Make sure you do this stickied to the inside and accelerate a lot after the apex of the corner, this way once you get to the end of the tunnel, you can brake late into the next long left corner and gain some places.
- The last S sequence of 180º corners. This is a prime spot to pass if you brake late into the first, go wide into the second and accelerate a lot out of them. You can use slipstream to overlap two-three cars before the last straight.

If you ever go for gold there, here are some place milestones as well:

- 8th place in the second 180º corner.
- 4th place out of the tunnel.
- 2nd place in the last S sequence.

So finally saw the entire 1st part of ISR's review, and here are the highlights of it:

1 - Has an good overall performance with almost every wheel in the market, with some minor issues here and there. Fanatec wheels have the best performance, thanks to the customizable brake sensitivity.

2 - In contrast to other simulators, has fewer customization options (livery mostly), but the mechanic customization is solid and has an actual effect on the car performance, which is pretty noticeable in the engine customization, changing even the sound that the engine makes.

3 - Best physics and Force Feedback in any simulator currently available in consoles, coming close to the experience of iRacing and rFactor.

4 - They seemed completely captivated by the game, even admitting that they can't stop playing it.

5 - Has the best graphical presentation in any simulator, including PC simulators, even with all the inconsistencies like the poor alpha effects and jagged shadows.

And this is why, people, that reviewing a simulator should be left to actual professionals, or at least someone who has basic knowledge about how a simulator should work/perform.

You're welcome . I was waiting for you to make it, but I hadn't see that you had less than 100 posts before.
