YOU expected because like US you have heard the poor Turn10 claim and GT bashing and you have followed the massive selnor thread with all the photomode screnshot

BUT

most of the people loving racing game are not hardcore gamers reading video game website meaning they just dont know enought forza and Turn10 and are still a lot more inrterested in the next GT ... brand name is everything !

I’ll take my cynical shades off a second in wondering as to these two threads, and say this...what was the expectation? Forza 3 is track so far ahead of Forza 2, that any sane person looking at the game’s performance wouldn’t question it’s level of success. By the time Forza 4 is released in 2 years, this game will have topped Forza 2, imho. Looking at the bottom-line of Return-On-Investment…M$ and Turn 10 did a masterful job. Anytime you can invest $30-40 million and get 5-6 times that in revenue..that is silly results, and will keep the team working and innovating and pushing the system. So, the game is a huge success, and the series is now on very solid feet as an AAA franchise.

lol btw how did elticker get banned? Did he make another one of those misleading topics again?

OP@ I don't think it's underperforming but like how Carl mentioned, according to Turn 10's 'standards', it's kinda underperforming a bit I reckon. After all their stupid comments and arrogant hyping.

it depends must of the time they where bad mouthing GT and there are lots of GT fans oyt there that wont pick up F3 because of it

If that's the rule than MS are extremely lucky with the 360 sales and Sony...

well they should be on their knees in front of Satan ready to hand over their souls (not going to mention the south park joke about Japanese people and souls) because only some sort of deal with him can be the only way they aren't banckrupt.
