haha so you ignore everything else that I said in my post and zero in on one section, typical. Don't try to defend your ludicrous predictions with words like possibly. Possibly tomorrow I will find a million dollars in a briefcase. Using the words possibly I can make any crazy claim I would like and it could still hold a sliver of validity no matter how remote the chances of such an event happening are. I wouldn't be the one commenting on reading comprehension when you seem unable to read the other 90 percent of my post and comment accordingly. You say sales are the metric for which to judge a game so I ask you, is GTA IV or GoW better than Uncharted?

I did, and most of the comments are them mouthing off about they have the best racing game on the market right now...is that what we are talking about?  I didn't see any comments like...we are going to be the best selling racing game ever.  I find it funny that ps3 fans would want to link quality to sales...as that would seem to be a fairly stupid thing to try and do...given the state of this generation's sales chart...

Let's look at the Metacritic scores

Forza 2 - 90

Forza 3 - 92

GT5 Prologue - 80

N4Speed (360) - 83

N4Speed(PS3) - 84

Seems like comments like we are the best racing game aren't too far off...is it boorish to say shit like that, sure, but to somehow say Forza 3 is failing...even though it's tracking something like 50-60% ahead of Forza 2 is a bit of a reach!

Actually you were both wrong, you too saying sales NEVER indicate quality. The truth is neither always, nor never.

About GT5P sales, it's easy to compare the first 5 weeks instead of the unfair cumulative, we have the weekly data too:

And, you perfectly know it, you just pretend you don't, these weekly data show that except week 4, GT5P outsold F3 even during 4 of the first 5 weeks and on the total of all 5 of them, despite PS3 having back then less than half the user base XB360 had at F3 launch.

Does it make sense to compare F3 and GT5P? I don't know, but Turn 10 stating no racing sim can beat F3 automatically makes legit to compare it to whatever racing sim we like, they started it unprovoked, they just didn't limit themselves to compare F3 to EVERY other racer, they actually stated none of them can beat it, we are simply following suit and it will be interesting to compare F3 to its main rival when it's released, to check Turn 10's claims (and I mean comparing all aspects, not only sales, it would be, I agree with you, a not significant enough comparison).

But if we want to say that even that 360Hz physics refresh rate is nothing special compared to the best current PC racers and that GPL already did 288Hz physics 10 years ago, this is completely another argument, we're just talking about console racers here, I won't start it... Oooops! I just did!

Maybe read the thread, i never said its a high likelihood.  It was never a prediction it was a discussion about the possability of it doing that.

I made the thread casue i want to see some peoples opinions and i did, there were a few intelligent responces that i enjoyed reading.  A few used facts and one even showed just what type of user base and attach ratio PS3/GT5 would have to achive for 20m to be POSSIBLE.

My thread achived what i desired, to bad many ignorant lazy people faield to read it and made the wrong impressions based of it.

Forza series never had big numbers in the begining. It's one of those games that have good sales in the long run and it will have bundles to help it.

They also offred free down load content on their forum for people o vote to win a cnet poll (they still lost it)  Some employe of theirs was cought talking shit about GT on neogaf.

wow you still don't understand how stupid it is to make a crazy prediction and then defend yourself by saying "I said possibly not definitely". If I made the prediction that tomorrow possibly the world would end does using the word possibly make my prediction any less dumb? The very fact that you use that specific number for your prediction shows how off base you are. I do have to commend you though, you are amazing at drawing the conversation off topic. And yes it was a prediction, even an 8 year old has enough reading comprehension to understand that your post was a prediction not a discussion.

So how about you stop being "lazy and ignorant" and respond to the questions I have been asking you in three posts now. Or is it because you know that your sales equals quality argument is so idiotic that not even you could talk your way out of it?

They didn't brag explicitly it would be the best seller, but if they brag no other racer can beat theirs, and given the excellent tie ratio XB360 has, wouldn't it be reasonable to expect "the racer no other racer can beat" to beat the first weeks sales of a demo that, as you write, had lower critics scores too, and that at launch could count on a much smaller PS3 user base?

This said, F3 sold better than N4S during the first 5 weeks, both on PS3 and XB360 and even better than N4S on both the consoles combined, during week 1 and 4 and during the first 5 weeks combined, so by normal standards F3 is selling quite well, it's just that it doesn't live up to Turn 10's bragging.

Anyway, only comparing every aspect, either technical or aesthetic or economic with its true arch-rival will give us a complete picture, so we'll have to wait till Spring 2010.
