Forums - Nintendo - Been a while since we had a thread about wanting new Star Fox and F-Zero

So here it is.

WHERE ARE MY NEW STAR FOX AND F-ZERO FOR THE WII, NINTENDO?!

Can't believe both were mentioned as far back as E3 2006 and yet, still, nothing. Of course, I have faith in Nintendo so I still believe we'll see both before too long, but I can't help but lament over their absence.

I'm waiting for my flight back home, which will be here in .....6 hours.... so I'll type something XD. Yes, I too am eager to find out where these games are hiding, though I do like how nintendo is so secretive. Unlike other companies who tell you 2 years in advance. Hopefully we'll hear about them at next years E3 and then get them at the end of 2010-early 2011. XD 2010 would be a great year for nintendo if those two games joined the already impressive list of games coming out then.

Very true. It'd be very hard to complain about 2010 if either one of those games joined the lineup, since 2010 already have Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M confirmed. Personally I think Zelda Wii will hit in 2010 as well, but that's up for discussion.

If Zelda Wii comes out next year too along with all those other great games, then it would be final - nintendo would win the 2010 console wars. Lol, thinking of this helps pass the time ^_^.

i dont think we will get f-zero, theres no one to develop it. Likewise with star fox, neither franchise has an alotted team as nearly every other nintendo franchise does. That said i could see star fox being made by retro possibly

Nintendo said they needed more and better software. I wouldn't be surprised if they outsourced star fox or f-zero. They are even working with team ninja.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

I really hope we get to see both before the end of this gen. Retro could be working on a new SF, which would be fantastic. A Retro SF can't be anything else but awsome. Who knows, maybe we will see New Star Fox Wii; first SF 2D shmup.

F-Zero has a very small chance of coming to Wii I think, but even thinking about a new F-Zero perfectly utilizing the wiimote as a steering wheel and complete with online and maybe a track editor... Geheehee.

I'm a Star Fox fan, and it really sucks that Nintendo hasn't announced a SF game yet... And the worst thing is that there are those rumors about the director of SF saying there's not gonna be a SF game on Wii... Retro Studios making SF sounds good, but I'd rather Intelligent Systems or Nintendo EAD make it, so it goes back to its routes... I liked what Q games did on the DS, but it was so strategic that it didn't feel like a Star Fox game in the end...

Anyway... And I love F-Zero too, specially the GBA and GameCube versions. I really wish Nintendo would lend SEGA the franchise license again, SEGA did an OUTSTANDING work with it last gen...

I don't care if both games use the wiimote in an innovative way, if that's the problem, make them with regular controls (with the stick and buttons, classic controller or GameCube controller), old-school, the way they remade Punch Out (which was AWESOME!!!)

And Wave Race, too. Ask them for some Wave Race.

Well... Okay, then.

NINTENDO, YOU BETTER GIVE US WAVE RACE TOO OR HEADS WILL ROLL!
