Around the Network

This is tough, but I'll try. In no particular order...

Wolfmother - Wolfmother
Yeah yeah yeahs - Fever to tell
Slipknot - Vol 3: The subliminal verses (Seriously, it's actually a very good album)
Bloodhound gang - Hooray for boobies (released in England in '99, but '00 in the USA, so it counts)
Cage the elephant - Cage the elephant
Doves - Some cities
Eminem - The Marshal Mathers LP
Gorillaz - Gorillaz & Demon days
KT Tunstall - eye to the telecope
System of a down - Toxicity (amazing album)
Placebo - Sleeping with ghosts
Muse - Absolution
The strokes - Is this it?
The white stripes - Elephant

Damn, Californication by Red hot chili peppers was released in '99. I'm sure that there are dozens that I'm still missing. Looking back though, it's not been a great decade for music; I mean if I made a list of the best 70's albums, half of those wouldn't even make it.

I can't think of any truly outstanding albums from the last 10 years of the top of my head but all these were very good releases

Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank

Brand New - Deja Entendu, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me

Bruce Springsteen - Magic

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

Mana - Amar es Combatir

Futuresex/Lovesounds - Justin Timberlake
Demon Days - Gorillaz
St. Elsewhere - Gnarles Barkley
Colleg Drop Out - Kanye West
Feels Like Home - Norah Jones
Food and Liquor - Lupe Fiasco
Lauryn Hill Mtv unplugged Vol2 - Lauryn Hill

Continuum - John Mayer

I can't pick just one. It's been to fruitful a decade to choose just one.
