PSN seems to be consistently one or two years behind Live, so I'm going to say no.

Wow, that is just blatantly false.

I dunno....  PSN gets Netflix a year behind.  They still haven't gotten any cross game chat or party chat, so they are more than a year or 2 behind right there.  Multiplat games still seem to play better on XBL in most cases.  PSN still has a much smalled on demand offering and much smaller Games on Demand offering.  Seems to me like PSN is definitely about equal to XBL of 1 or 2 years ago...

Live is better. What makes it better? The experience makes it better. As someone said earlier the XBox is truly built around Live. It sucks when my connection is down for some reason and I hop on the XBox. Its just not the same experience without Live. Live is like a drug, you have to have it to enjoy the true XBox experience. Each of my friends who own both HD consoles buy multiplatform games for the 360 because of Live.
Like I said you have to experience it to understand.

...?

I might have agreed with you 2 years ago, but the PS3 is also built around PSN now, you need PSN to get the most out of a ps3. As for what you mean, I guess cross game party chat is very important to your friends, but once PSN has that.. there really is no difference other than the interface.

I say Yes. Its about the same as Live but free. I like that PSN games can have dedicated servers and not all P2P.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

You only own a DS...

Did you tried both services at least?

i actually have all consoles, but i didn't bother to add other consoles

pretty useless anyway, people can pretend they have all of them

Have you used PSN?

My guess would be "No" he has not used PSN.

I really don't get some of the reasons why some say the PSN is inferior.  Sure, you can't cross talk, whoopee doo.  But you also aren't paying $50 a year for the PSN.   Not to mention that PSN has Home for those who would want that. (Not really an advantage as I really don't use it at all).

Just look at one factor... Playing games online with your friends...   You can do that, and do it just as well as Live can do it.  And I don't have to pay Sony to play my friends online like one would for Live.

Yes, I've used both... Yes, I sold my 360 after the 13th red ring in less than 3 years.   Sony, it just works... Unlike the Xbox 360.

Yeah right............

not even in the same league...live will always be better.

^This!

Live is in another league, PSN is very poor hence why it's free, they could NEVER charge for that! lol

While I can see the many features of Live being that of an advantage and PSN seems to be catching up to a service older then it. Value for money wise the PSN wins hands down, Live doesn't offer enough extras to think paying £40 a year is worth while, especially when all I ever do is a few online games and download from the store.

Also, Live (or M$'s online features) currently doesn't offer BBC iPlayer in the UK. The reason is that M$ thinks it should be for gold paying members only. BBC iPlayer is Free to all, just like PSN is free to all. M$ want to basically charge for something that is already free to everyone. What idiots.

Hmm, pie.

Nope. XBL still leads the pack. But that lead has dimished over the past few years

Long Live SHIO!

No. The online service on PSN is dry. XBL is still the superior online service. You may pay 50 bucks a year but trust me when I say its worth it.

Both tied xbox has a better connection and fancier dashboard

ps3 on the other hand is free and can do pretty much the same thing xbox 360 do!
