But i was just checking the figures last year and everything got like a real big boost in Europe and NA this time last year. This year though it hasnt happened for any platform. Like eveything last year in Europe was geting like 30% boosts and that. This week it was like only 13% boosts.

So it happening to evey platform so my last post is a bit stupid and maybe what ioi was saying about the X-mas shoppers are a little late this year is true

FINALLY DS really starts to get those big holiday increases in Europe and Americas. Oh man a few weeks of my predictions being bad for them to now finally explode. And thank goodness for DSi LL in Japan to really have them being high. I knew DS would eventually do this but man a little longer than I thought. Same for Wii but it has had traditional increases so where it is at right now is not all that surprising.

360 doing alright considering all the circumstances but surprised it went down a little from last week. But 360 is posing quite a problem to that of Ps3 from having strong American sales. PS3 sales are definitely good, especially compared to last year, but it's not performing as strong as it could if it had all of America behind it. Not really seeing as much of a split in E/O but once again it could be stronger if 360 hadn't built up a large enough brand from last year.

But indeed PS3 sales are over that of 360 sales and by a pretty good margin. PSP sales starting to increase again which is good as well. But stars of this week definitely seems to be the software with Assassin's Creed II, Left 4 Dead 2, New Super Mario Bros Wii, and Modern Warfare 2 leading the way.

You may not see it, but it does exist. :P

Well I think a lot of the misconceptions about PS3 sales are simply trying to relate its holiday increases to that of DS and Wii. We need to remember that the top or dominant brands are going to get much bigger increases during the holiday season. So trying to relate PS3 to those increases is going to give you a higher than normal holiday sales prediction. However, relating it to that of the 360 last year is not a bad way of going about it.

But yea for a 1 million one week for PS3, it is going to depend on the magnitude of the FF13 increase in Japan. I wouldn't rule out the possibility though considering how big that game is in Japan.

In order of success it has to be:

1. Nintendo
2. Microsoft
3. Sony

For this holiday period. The first two are actually making profit.

Oh yeah and in terms of unit numbers Xbox 360 > PS3 as its always the Xbox 360 from one year ago time traveling to the future to compete with the PS3 of today!
