It's really up to taste... though this one usually outranks 7-9 on top 100 lists.

Wow, thats a hard one. I think I'd have to go with Celes, but I liked most of the whole cast. I think Celes's main theme pushes it over for me though.
Ahhh, Shadow was great too, especially if you took the time to discover his background.
When I replay FF6 I always use the same 4 characters so that might answer your question 
Edgar,Cyan,Sabin,Terra.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing (mostly)
