Forums - Sales - System Mover Game of the Day (11/28) - Uncharted 2

If I recall properly, the reason behind the slight down in EU sales is because FIFA was release the previous week. As EU territories being hard football games consumers, the system recieved a significant push.

From that perspective, Uncharted 2 was so strong that almost equaled the sales that had came because of FIFA, which, IMHO, is absolutely fantastic ^^.

Imo, your/these threads (although great) appear far too frequently to get a lot of interest and votes.

In europe you can usually pick between a ton of games. Retailers don't tend to limit you. Atleast here in denmark. I'm still surprised the only place more consoles were sold was in america though.

Check out my game about moles ^

I had been kind of thinking the same thing, which is why this thread came out about 10 days after my last one, which I thought would be enough time. Also its been tricky for me because having threads closer together seem to get less responses, but when I have articles closer together they seem to gain momentum with number of views. And with Yo Johns VGChartz ranking game threads coming out every few days for awhile and still getting tons of comments, I thought this would work. I do need to figure out some way to get more comments in these threads though.

There was a 250GB bundle, but I am not sure it came out quite at launch....

As for why hardware changed, I think that Uncharted 2 did a little, but not a huge amount, it was mostly just the fact that it is getting closer to Christmas

It came out at the perfect time and it's very easy game to market for Americans, since they love guns and eye-candy. So really, good timing, great advertising and just the critical acclaim made this a system seller.
