Go to hell Square Enix.

No. He's saying that Live is on Xbox and PC, while PSN is on PS3 and PSP, with Sony looking to bring it to their other devices such as TVs. Increasingly, the network - rather than the hardware - is becoming the platform for Microsoft and Sony. That's not really the case for Nintendo. |
What he said
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st ![]()
As long as Nintendo keeps the way they do things (make consoles, make games that are fun that are in a box whether catridge or cd) then Im fine with that :l... oh and morenoingrato... to bad Ive never brought the loz oot catridge n64... I got the master edition loz ooc for gc with hard mode (Different duengons, the order you get your item changes too I believe...)

This is as senseless as when people say a game should be 90% cutscenes, if you wan't to watch, see a movie, and if you want download only, buy an iphone, it WORKS there
Sounds to me like Nintendo will have another console monopoly in 10 years time....aaand laugh all the way to the bank;P
How so, you ask? Simply couse retailers will do their damndest to refrain from stocking any hardware product that is a threat to their bussiness

What a maniac this guy zomg, in 10 years, sure ... the world today is still filled with CRT TVs and shitty LCDs, what will this terminal be, new hardware? Then what about hardware peripherals, motion controls, Natal even. Will the new "terminal" have proprietary technology just like today? Then whats new? We are just going to be paying for content that will never be in our possession that we cannot play if we're cut off from a network? Whats in it for me dude.

Digital Distribution Only is when I A) become a PC gamer only, or B) Quit gaming
Good thing I know Nintendo will have my back for quiet some time...
Wait this is Wada talking, the guy who has made couple of the worse decisions on the consoles this generation, and than blames the Japanese Market.

No that better not happen, i hate dd.

This could go either way. The console war would still exist, because every company in the game would have their own little stake in the market and they're not going to let things blend together any more than they already do. And yes, it could go all server based downloads, or maybe it won't. I personally think it would be a dumb move to limit your user base to only people who have access to broadband internet connections. Yes, it is fairly common now, but there is still always going to be that part of the market that doesn't want to be connected to the internet just to play games as well as people who just simply don't have access to the service. (This is also the reason I think Chrome OS isn't going to be a big hit.)
On the other side of the coin, I used to contribute frequently to the PC Gamer Magazine forums, and I actually predicted this a few years ago, subsequently getting laughed off the internet by my fellow members. I described a scenario pretty much identical to what OnLive is trying to do, and nobody thought that was viable. Well folks, it's becoming viable. If we now have the capability to stream 1080p video to our entertainment centers, we can certainly handle doing some cloud gaming. What remains to be seen is if users actually want it that way or not.
I personally don't care--I will play the games I want to play. The method in which I do that is irrelevant.
