I'll buy RE:UC because I like light gun shooters and RE, but that's not what I meant. RE:UC is not a real survivor horror, it's a light gun shooter. The original RE games were great, but now I've played RE4 on Wii I'll never want to play them again with normal controls (especially the second one was bad). I really thought RE4Wii was that good. Capcom has a chance to make ultimate editions of those brilliant games (that will probably sell good as well).

I think remakes of 1-3 are not out of the question and much more linked to RE:UC than RE5

John Lucas: It will be great if RE5 comes to Wii exclusively (but I don't see it happening) but I don't want a port. Then I'd rather have the 360 version.

Maybe we'll just get a RE Other Side of the Story or something where we play as Wesker, HUNK and/or Ada in some kind of story detailing the other side... (yeah... real clever/sarcasam)

Edit: /sarcasam is exclusive to everything inside the bracket, not inclusive.

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

1 word: RTFA

i total agree--after playing Re4 with those controls every thing else was just plain bad--i would love to see the first group redone withthe new wii graphics/controls

I too think that RE4:Wii is by far the superior edition just because of the controls and can never go back to playing the game on a normal analog controller but I don't see RE5 coming to the Wii ever.

It's easy to port something from a less powerful system (GC/PS2) to a more powerful system (Wii) but porting something from a more powerful system(360/PS3)  to a less powerful system (Wii) is just like making an entirely new game. At that point, it's more worthwhile to just make a new game so that you won't have to deal with an inferior version (because the two version would be more different than you think in more ways than just graphics).

That being said, I could see an RE series coming exclusively to the Wii. I wouldn't hold my breath yet on it being the main series nor do I think it will be a rail shooter like RE:UC, but the Wii is being good to Capcom and Capcom will be good to the Wii.

Does "Monster Hunter 3" ring a bell? ;)

Sorry, but if Capcom is willing to do the work to remake RE4 for MOBILE PHONES, then reworking RE5 for the Wii will not be an issue for them.

Note I am NOT claiming RE5 will come to the Wii. I am just calling on your bullshit claim that downgrading will prevent it, despite how gaming history has NEVER proven that claim.

Incredible the fourth porting of a masterpiece is now a millionseller (t o retailers obviously ).

I forgot, Wii gamers aren't core gamers / sarcasm

Well, you'd have be CRAZY to not pick up an fantastic game for $30! It's a steal! Capcom did good with this game. Right price and enough changes to justify the re-release.

I'm willing to bet that RE4: Mobile edition will be nothing like the other RE4 games.  About the only things it's more than likely going to share are the name, the fact there are zombies, and there might be guns.  Other than that, it's going to be your typical mobile game crap fest.

And RE5 will never see a Wii version exactly why because I said.  I know you love to troll my comments but it just aint going to happen.  They would have to seriously decrease the graphics (remake textures and models), they would have to port the game to the Wii (requiring extensive testing and programming), and levels would have to be redesigned because the Wii simply can't have as much on screen as the PS3 and 360 (requiring a rework in the game and level design).  That would mean the Wii version would have to have the budget of a completely new game for a game that would already be two years old by the time it came out, different gameplay that probably won't be as good, and far inferior graphics.  There's just no good reason to assume that Capcom would waste the money on porting RE5 to the Wii.  It would make much more sense just to make a new game rather than waste an entire team and a AAA game budget on a port.

Here is the thing though. Didn't Capcom do just that for RE4 when it went from GC to PS2? Sure going 360/PS3 -> Wii would probably be harder than going GC -> PS2 but given the work they did there i have every confidence that Capcom can do it.

But they had to rework the whole game. Mobile crap or not, they reworked the game, proving they are not against this. If they are not against this for 4, why would they be against this for 5?

And RE5 will never see a Wii version exactly why because I said. I know you love to troll my comments

Talk about ignorance. I go against just about every other BS comment I see.

but it just aint going to happen. They would have to seriously decrease the graphics (remake textures and models),

It's been deon before. I know you don't want to acknowledge that, since it's not mentioned in this reply, but if developers do this, it's not a preventive for a port.

they would have to port the game to the Wii (requiring extensive testing and programming),

This is Capcom working on a system they are familiar with. It wouldn't be that extensive. I think you're confusing the Wii with the PS3.

and levels would have to be redesigned because the Wii simply can't have as much on screen as the PS3 and 360 (requiring a rework in the game and level design).

Again, it's been deon before. I know you don't want to acknowledge that, since it's not mentioned in this reply, but if developers do this, it's not a preventive for a port.

That would mean the Wii version would have to have the budget of a completely new game

Now you've proven you barely know a thing about game design. It's not that hard to redo character and level designs, especially since Capcom is familar with the Wii, and can even use an engine from a certain hit game to cut costs.

for a game that would already be two years old by the time it came out,

See my points about the cost. You are really stretching here with this lie.

different gameplay that probably won't be as good,

Your'e lying again, and you have to be lying since we know the game will have gameplay based on RE4, which worked fine on the Wii.

and far inferior graphics.

This again, graphics have not hurt the Wii before. Games have flopped on it for reasons entirely different from graphics. Therefore havin inferior graphics will not be a reason Capcom would not port this game.

There's just no good reason to assume that Capcom would waste the money on porting RE5 to the Wii.

Except for the fact that you're lying it would be a waste of money, by exaggerating the work needed. If they port it, it would cost just a few million at most, and would just have to sell a few hundred thousand to break even.

It would make much more sense just to make a new game rather than waste an entire team and a AAA game budget on a port.

I bet you think we lost WWII, since youre knowledge of gaming history seems to think downgraded ports are unheard of.
