Forums - Nintendo - Would developers give a Wii HD the games they denied the Wii so far?

No, it would need a boost in graphics and power and not in resolution, it would be the same but wii games would look a bit better. The thing is, a wii HD wouldnt have games with ps3 graphics, as the ps3 in 480p also looks much better.

Firstly, I am a Wii owner. Having said that, the reason you don't see more core games on the Wii is not that anyone is 'denying' it these games. Publishers know that core games just don't sell well on the Wii. It's that simple.

Absoulutly NOT .... thats just a crutch they use, Developers problem isnt about Wii limitations hence big PSP release( with bad SW sales too boot) a even less powrful machine. Its about NINTENDO, there image, and fanbase

I doubt it greatly. I remember a time not too long ago, when installed base pretty much dictated or rather garaunteed support. The absolute worse thing Nintendo could do is release a Wii HD.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

"Publishers know that core games just don't sell well on the Wii."

Which is one of the excuses they are making. You don't get any cred by repeating the same crap they've been spewing.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

They won't move for a Wii HD...they are soooooooo lazy now it would be worst for them to make really good graphics games as to say "the Wii can't provide our expectations"...

If the Wii HD would sell similar numbers as the Wii absolutely.

That's the lamest excuse ever... Old..

PSP's software sales are almost always abysmal/pathetic or average at best. Yet the PSP gets AC2....

The Developers are lame and lazy, the publishers are lame and lazy.... No effort and marketing = no buy... Plain & simple.

Plus when developers actually put the kinds of games that they have on the HD systems, with good marketing, they get a million sales (Monster Hunter 3, and World At War, which didn't even follow 4 on the Wii). Unfortunately there are very few cases of that, but it does show they can make the same hits on the Wii as the other systems.

Yup , that's right.

Guitar Hero(all of them ) sold great on Wii... Rock Band sold great on Wii , Call Of Duty sold well on Wii , Monster Hunter sold well on Wii , Resident Evil sold well on Wii , PES sold well on wii , DeBlob sold well , Sonic sold well , etc... Why ? Marketing , TV ads , paper ads , online ads , etc...

The devs/publishers can only whine if they put a very well made and fully featured game like Monster Hunter Tri , do some quality advertising and it does not sell.

EA can whine all they want , I don't care. As far as I know there almost no ads for Dead Space , so they can suck it big time...

I think that if Wii HD comes out it will get a lot of ports and if the ports do well then it may receive some quality multiplatform games and some quality exclusives.
