He could sing well, very well. Who would think that a fat, unattractive guy could be a great opera singer? Shocking. It's the same cliche with Susan Boyle. Apparently, unattractive people can't be talented, but if they are, we're all supposed to be really impressed.

When I think Opera singer i think fat unattractive guy... of course I've only ever been to one Opera.

Very true, the people laughing at her before her audition, then applauding after are pathetic.

Right, why does it matter what a singer looks like?

Does the fact she's a hag make her sound better? 

Either answer you give will suck, either you say yes which is just incredibly offensive because it assumes that ugly people can't do anything beautiful and if you say no, you just contradict yourself.


What about her singing is holding her back for you?

It's not that she's bad, it's just that there's so much better out her than her.  And I'm not talking about the Lady Gaga's, Brittney Spears, and Allison Iraheta's.  She is better than all of them but that's like saying some mid-teir NFL quarterback is better at football than me. 

Those other people are complete hacks and she does have talent, but it's upsetting that she's selling so much when people that are so much better than her are being completely ignored and it's upsetting she's selling so much only because she's ugly and marginally talented.

I guarantee you that if she went on that same show and looked like Megan Fox she would be completely ignored.

certainly not in vocals, and talent, and in song writing.

I guess the only reason she gets attention is because of her background and story, because if we are talking about vocals, range, song writing skills, dancing, style and looks she is miles behind the likes of Beyonce and Mariah.

Yeah, I had to get it on Amazon.  Luckily it's not insanely overpriced (about $20 I think it was) and I get free shipping.  Not nearly the price for an album on iTunes, but meh, I like my Haley.

For me, it's very much dependant on the artist. If it just a song I'm looking for from any artist that I'm not partularly following, I'll just purchase on a per song basis. For others, I'll always buy the physical copy and just rip it myself (when possible -or rather wheter or not it's a cd) to put on my mp3 player.
