Forums - Gaming - my ps3 broke i need help

ok when i went to turn it on today it said "PS3" then it went to a red screen and it said "a serious error has occured. contact technical support"

 

i was researching and it said it was a hardrive failior. have any of you experienced this before, cause idk what to do...

My HDD also broke once but nothing appeared on screen after the PS3 logo.
I could only see the background (the ondulating thing) of my PS3 and nothing else.

ok i did, they said it was a hard disk failior, they will repair it for free. but does this mean i loose all my data? also they said i might be able to exchange it for another system. (i have the phat though so im not sure how this will work)

All your save files are lost. Did you ever made a backup?

nope, i never thought my ps3 would break as my ps1 works perfectly fine, it seems like sony went down in quality over the years :(

nope, i never thought my ps3 would break as my ps1 works perfectly fine, it seems like sony went down in quality over the years :(

HDD are never really reliable. The PS1 had no HDD.
