This is a good sign. They should level off somewhere around 50-60k, and then shoot up for the Holiday rush.

I think we'll need to see a few more weeks. The pattern is not all that unlike the launch so far. I remember a lot of claims of victory 3 weeks after the European launch. I'll say the same thing I said back then, wait a few weeks then lets see how it goes.

Great news for the PS3 in Others.
It's especially impressive since the PES'08 bundle, which should move plenty of HW, has yet to be released.

It'll be interesting to see those numbers, as well as the rest of the Holiday season.

I thought that was people buying up the 60gig? Probably always a rumor, but still a possibility.

It's especially impressive, considering all the really big software releases don't come until November - CoD4, Ratchet, the Orange Box, Guitar Hero and Singstar are all due to arrive in Europe in mid to late November, I think... Correction, according to IGN CoD4 is scheduled for Nov 2, but the others are being released a bit later.

And those PS2 sales are equally impressive. The Playstation tag team continues to rack up 40-45% of console market share, no mean feat.

Wii seemed to shoot up too. Considering the Wii is not sold out in some "Other" countries, what do you think made the Wii shoot up? The pricecut did exactly what it was intended for the PS3

 Wii shot up due to release of Metroid Prime 3 I bet.

 PS3 did damn fine due to its price cut. I think it will hold steady throughout the remainder of the year though, maybe, dip a little lower for a couple of weeks. Like around 45k. By then holiday buying will kick in.

Good good. Keep it up Sony, reaffirm my dwindling faith.
