Garnett- And they charge for online play and it doesnt have a blue ray player, listen are we talking about a 360 or the PS3? Cus i know my facts they dont break often, and if they do its hellacheaper to have Sony repair it than buy a warranty.

Most big box store warranties are around $50, while sending in to Sony averages over $100.  I agree store warranties are mostly useless/scams, but Sony's repair service isn't cheap...

I actually woudn't get a store warranty for a PS3 ( or get Sony to repair it), the issue is in both case you're unlikely to get back the same PS3 and some PS3 games saves are tied to the PS3.

Best way is find a local guy that actually knows his stuff.

My PS3 broke with YLOD last week, I got it repaired in one day for 50$ by a local guy....

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

i could swear "Chad Warden" the famous PS3 fanboy works at Toys R Us here in Canada because they happened to look exactly like each other. Anyway, the guy did not persuade me to get a PS3 but when I asked him if "Mass Effect" is already available, he just doesnt know or heard about it. The game was already released 2 weeks worldwide btw.

Yea i agree they are saying the true just think about this if you are a good seller and u own the company telling the truth makes costumers more loyals to your product so if u say one of your costumers this "look id recomend you LG instead of the sanyo cuz is better value "that would be nice because he is telling the truth thats not cuz LG paid him to say that its kind of logic you want profits and loyals costumers.

it must be Sony paying to persuade, because itoastboy44562 said:

someone bought modernwarfare 2 on 360 and the worker at best buy was like going on how the ps3 version has better graphics.

I was just standing by the 360 games then i stumbled apon the modern warfare 2 bundle elite and out of no where a worker just starts rambling on about how the 360 isn't as good as value as the ps3 and he asked me to come and look at the ps3's. then i said kindly, i have both systems leave me alone. and he's like ah ok and he walked away.

and then I heared 3 workers arguing about if gears 2 was crap or cool.

man, i was surprized how the fanboyism reached my store...

this is a true story i kid you not...

it must be Sony paying to persuade, because we know the far more logical conclusion simply can't be that the employee had his own bias.

the only thing interesting about this post is whether you meant to spell upon or apron, because you are far closer to the latter than the former but apron just doesn't make sense in the context.

Lol good, serves him right for spewing false information to cheat customers.

I remember one time this lady was trying to sell me disc protection for a PS3 game saying that they always get scratched up but all my discs are fine.

Not to mention that Blu Ray disc are hard to scratch.

Yeah at gamestop they always try to sell me the disc replacement plan, and I always tell them "maybe if I was buying the 360 version"

Yeah that is one hell of a poor salesman. Given that we are near holiday sales, my guess is that it is some douches that own video games and is now are being paid to sell them. I worked in the video game department at a toys r us when the xbox came out (and I'm way pro xbox), but I sold a TON of gamecubes and PS2's because that's what the customer is after. If you convince them to buy something they aren't sold on, then it's much harder to get add-on sales. These guys should do their job.. nothing helps to ruins a trip to the store more than unwarranted fanboyism (even if your a fanboy along with them).

thing is everyone has there opinion on there fav system, NO ONE is like 'i love them all equally' because you will spend more time with one there the other 2, one will cater more for you

if i worked in a game store, even though i would try not to i would probs give my theory. its just one of those things

Ohh your bad for that one

Store clerks with preferences? No way, what is the world coming to... 3 different salesmen at a car retailer might offer three different cars to the same customer, everyone is different and has a different opinion on how things work and what others need. What if another clerk had done the same only flipped? "No, no, come look at the 360's, that version has better graphics and controls!" What then? Would you mind?

this guy is still not perma banned???
