I am concerned due to the history of PSN being a less active and vibrant community, and instances of there being insufficient people playing games in the past could be a real problem with 256 player games. It's the sort of game that really needs a community with a level of involvement like that of the Xbox 360.
That said, I hope if the game is good that it works out for Sony PSN-wise. |
yeah that's what i mean, it's the community really, i don't want to see a game like this die due to weak support. I hope ps3 gamers can look past the grafxs (which are not bad and suprisingly good, but given the ps3 legacy of top of the line in grafical exclusives idk), I think if the socom, warhawk, and killzone fanbase which is by far the best on the console unite and all support this game MAG will succede and that would be great, but i think instant support and dedication would come better on pc, and on pc you have the benifit of limitless hardware, so the game would look great to.......
just thinking here but picture the ps3's games with the support of the 360 community, minus the 12yr olds (only talking about fps), that would be truely a sight to see, given the ps3 are the ones pushing the high player count and ded. servers in online multiplayer.
i think psn has all the potential now all it needs is a community.

logic would suggest that the trend of high quality games that came out recently on the PS3 will help in building up the community. As a matter of fact, the sheer amount of the console being sold weekly is putting the console on track to have a great online user base as the PSN is free. I don't really think that the community will be at fault here. I believe the only thing that could make this game failing to a certain degree would be that it sells less than 3M units world wide. Only with a very high user base could such a game become truly enjoyable.
That gives the game a very high risk of not meeting its potential as I find it very difficult for a new IP to reach such heights. Even Uncharted couldn't....
