Forums - Gaming - M.A.G should be on the P.C

i think the game has a ton of potential, but it won't see it on consoles. I'm in the beta and I think zipper is really on to something, but i think if the game was on the p.c. it could be a truly magnificant game. The community on consoles is just not there like they are for p.c especially for such massive games like MAG. Also the hardware isn't there yet either...... while what they are pushing is truly amazing (the game has come along way from the 1st beta) i feel as though if this was on p.c they could so a much better product..... and it would hav much more support and dedication

anyone agree discuss

oh before I get called a p.c fanboy, i love my ps3 and play it often and killzone 2 should totally be nominated for goty...........

Halo was meant to be on PC originally as well :). Yeah it went there eventually but...

And if IW's policy on servers are a precedent (ID has hinted at such), it seems the likes of Activision want to control the PC community more like the console networks do, by their very nature.

I reluctantly agree with the op. I might not 'have' to buy a PS3 to play M.A.G if it comes out on PC :)

I am a Gamer... I play games and not consoles. I have a PC and Console on which I game... I like games. End of Story!

i agree but oh well. sony dosent do pc games if im not mistaken and sony owns zipper so ... oh well. we can hope for an imaginative imatation. but hey it helps the ps3 and sony so ... woo?

I appreciate what Sony is trying to do with M.A.G. I am concerned due to the history of PSN being a less active and vibrant community, and instances of there being insufficient people playing games in the past could be a real problem with 256 player games. It's the sort of game that really needs a community with a level of involvement like that of the Xbox 360.

That said, I hope if the game is good that it works out for Sony PSN-wise.

yeah that's what i mean, it's the community really, i don't want to see a game like this die due to weak support. I hope ps3 gamers can look past the grafxs (which are not bad and suprisingly good, but given the ps3 legacy of top of the line in grafical exclusives idk), I think if the socom, warhawk, and killzone fanbase which is by far the best on the console unite and all support this game MAG will succede and that would be great, but i think instant support and dedication would come better on pc, and on pc you have the benifit of limitless hardware, so the game would look great to.......

just thinking here but picture the ps3's games with the support of the 360 community, minus the 12yr olds (only talking about fps), that would be truely a sight to see, given the ps3 are the ones pushing the high player count and ded. servers in online multiplayer.

i think psn has all the potential now all it needs is a community.

I somewhat agree as well, not generally a fan of shooters on consoles to be honest. It just feels inferior to PC in every single way except screen size.

Every game is better on PC if they take advantage of what PC's are capable of. This doesn't really apply to M.A.G. only.

PSN: Parasitic_Link

It would probably do better on it.

What the fuck is this? Almost EVERY shooter would work better on PC...

Just because it's not on PC doesn't mean it won't work well. The PS3 can hold a community for a game just fine. Just look at MGO, SOCOM and even Warhawk still has a decent amount of active gamers. If SONY does the game right, then it's just another reason to own a PS3. Giving us reason to get a PS3 is what SONY's supposed to be doing.
