But you're predictions don't make sense. By 2040 we'll have plenty of water, and no one is gonna be fighting over it.... maybe oil.

I don't think you really know what you're talking about.
The amount of water on Earth is about the same as it was millions of years ago. The only real difference comes from the amount of fresh water, which humans need to drink. Desalinization is an expensive-as-hell way to fix this, but there are other ways too. And if you've got a solution, go ahead and make your billions. Because no one else has one.
