This is why in Fable II I didn't get married. I have two files (one male, one female). I didn't opt for marriage once in the game yet. Having pre-marital sex (especially if it's with someone's husband or wife. It's hilarious when the characters are like "get away from my husband you strumpet" after you do the come back to my place to her husband. And then the adulterous bastard follows you into some shack for some loving right in front of his wife), threesomes, and orgies with randy/raunchy/unchaste civilians and prostitutes is so much better and worth it. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk and steaks for free/a small fee?
I will get one of my avatars to marry eventually though. Because I want the marriage, bigamist and child achievements. That's the only reason why I'm bothering with that feature because marriage in Fable II is so not worth it. Doing it all for the achievements. I hear that it's very common for your wife to whore around and pump out some other dude's baby. I'll make sure to have my corrupt strumpet avatar do the marriage and kid achievements (since obviously you're gonna know that the kid is yours if you are birthing it) since I don't want my male avatar to experience the humiliation of seeing his wife pump out some other dude's baby. It's a shame that your female avatar can't have kids out of wedlock in Fable II because it would be hilarious if my husband had to take care of a whole bunch of kids that aren't his. I can give him the STDs I picked up though. That's always a bonus.
