I'd say Duffy is better musically speaking and much much better if we're just talking about quality of the voice.

She's just so much more... fun.  I can't hear this stuff without shaking my ass.  And the videos actually try different interesting things, instead of just really rapid cutting between shots of whoa crazy stuff!

dont expect the great ones to be hot, just sayin. I'm a college psych student and our prof did a large research study on musical people and you know what he found? They tend to be a lot more androginous than average, so the women were much more likely to be tom boys, and the guys would sit around starbucks drinking anything that has whip cream

This girl beats the others in this thread, this is one of her most known songs but I listened to this album and its very good.

Anyway, I remembered a musician friend told me women arent good musicians in general, even if they are more emotional, that is shallow(see twilight for example, it has emotion, but kinda popcorn romance), and men can make more emotional music. He also said they are worst playing instruments like the guitar.

Of course thats in general, and there are examples that could proove it otherwise.
