its been a staple for the Anime to preview 1 or 2 POKEMON from the next generation:

Season 1: revealed Ho oh and I believe it was totodile in mini skit before the 1st pokemon movie while it was in theaters and technically Togepi

Orange Island: was Maril & Slugma and Lugia

Johto: was Blaziken during Silver conference

now Hoen I didnt watch but I remember my bro running in my room like a maniac screaming about a new Pokemon from Sinnoh being shown( 4got who it was though)

so with that being said the next gen POKEMON will be shown before the Anime foe gen 4 is over... most likely towards the end

AND BETTER BE MORE FIRE POKEMON DAMMIT!!!!

There haven't been any new Pokemon revealed in Sinnoh yet though.

Also, more Fire types = bad.

They already did.  That's why they use gemstones and semi-precious metals now.

why are more fire types bad :(

there aren't nearly enough of them (same with electric, dragon, and a few others.)

theres a decent amount of grass types already. there were no new common firetypes in 4th gen, which was really dumb.

Honestly.. think strategically here.  Who would want a Pink version of Pokemon other than girls?  Who would be on the cover? Jigglypuff?

DSi exclusive?

if the next one comes in 2012, its on the next nintendo handheld not DSi
