Well at least we know he isn't pirating this game. I would think pirates would patch the games in order to not update.

There is a lot more on it then pirating

  • Playing games from different regions.
  • Watching movies on your Wii
  • Playing and making hacks for games like Brawl and NSMBWii
  • Playing emulators
  • Playing games off of a hard drive

There is a lot more to Homebrew then pirating. It's just Nintendo targets it because there is hacking.

if you are using the homebrew chnnel, don't you think somebody would have found a way to bypase that forced update by now? maybe you could look or ask around about that.

My advice is to check out the Homebrew community for answers. I guess you have HBC installed, and from what I've heard installing the latest Wii update has a small chance of bricking your Wii. If you can live without Homebrew for a while maybe you should uninstall HBC and update.

i belive its the 4.2 update on the wii now, that will come on nsmb.

i have no hard mods at all, just soft ones that i use from time to time, if i update i may loose the mods i have.

i will have a look into it, i really wanna get nsmb. i was suprised the game comes in a new red case.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

Like somebody already mentioned use a loader to load the game. It should work without an update. If not, then back it up and find whatever patch there is to get rid of installs. There are probably tons of ways other than this to bypass the update as well.

@Smashchu2
Playing emulators is playing pirated games....
but yeah the rest makes sense and is okay.

"What have i done.? Is it too late to save me from this place? From the depths of the grave? We all are those .. who thought we were brave."
