You get killed a lot in multi-player, don't you?

It's pretty common on consoles with regard to shadows. It varies from title to title, some are more obvious, others less - it does stand out sometimes, but most PS3 and 360 titles have some form of this on their shadows at some points in the game.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

If its only shadows, its maybe because of algorithm. If its whole picture, whats your resolution? Some things can cause flickering when they are shown in too low resolution.

that uncharted one is actually where i got the picture.
and yes its a bit mix of both. i have my resolution at auto, it changes as the game changes. this game is at 720P
Thats normal, devs use it to make decent shadows without eating much processing power, they did the same with GTA4, but that looks like shit.
i never really paid that much attention to shadows when everything else looks so darn good on uncharted 2, i will be looking out for it now tho
it's the future of handheld

It's exactly what Deneidez said-- shadow maps cost memory. Processing power isn't really the huge problem, the PS3 just doesn't have a lot of space for texture memory and you have to make a cut somewhere.
You can either have beautiful scenery and jagged shadows or cut down on the scenery and have better shadows (but still jagged).
If you do go back and look through most every console game, it's the same (especially on the PS3). Some are better than others but that's because they sacrificed other things. That said, Uncharted 2 is a still a beautiful game.
