That's what Accounting is about, You can't kick someone out and keep their unaccord expenses

As others have said, yes, actually, you can. If you go to a theme park in the USA and proceed to violate their rules (usually safety ones), they can kick you out of the park without any refund. It's a similar idea to XBL. There are rules to follow, and by violating them, you are being "kicked out" early without refund.

Oh, and I'd also agree with suing the pirates, but that becomes harder to prove, unfortunately.

I feel comfortable to know no PS3 owner I meet pirates games.

That's not to say I don't understand why some would pirate software. For example if you don't have the money to buy software needed for your education as a student. Or if you're living in a poor family and still want to have some fun. Also kids may not understand that well what they are doing vs adults.

But shame on those pirates who can afford to buy the software. I guess that would mean many of those XBox 360 users banned here, as many do have the money to subscribe to XBox Live.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

The pirates shouldn't be surprised, they brought it on themselves.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Pirates are so stupid. They will always get caught no matter how hard they try.

another example of "read the fine print". xbox live is a product/service built for the purpose of profiting, not a constitutional right.

those that got banned should remember they agreed on microsoft's terms.

Epic fail is fail! Mike, you forget that most PS3 owners also have a PC...or a PSP...both of which are very easy to pirate for, so good chances that the PS3 owners you meet, may actually pirate games. Also, there are many PS3 owners that would pirate games on the PS3 if they could...lucky for them, there are two mod chips in the works for the PS3 and they could be releasing as soon as next year.   BTW nice stealth troll on XBL...you gain - respect for this post.

Mod chips in the works for the PS3? I heard that a lot before... they never came through.

Well they are taking a long time, the PS3 is hard to dev for, I suspect this is true even in the mod chip world.

@ ironman

I mean I know PS3 gamers aren't pirating their PS3 games.

The PS3 is well protected and I hope Sony continues to counter potential pirating in the future.

I think Microsoft should have taken proper action from the start, this isn't the best timing just before the holiday season.

Well say what you mean. What you said came off as trolling to me...Anyway, I can agree with you on the timing of the bans...but then again, MS could have been hoping to boost sales of both hardware and software for the holidays.
