Or simply they come from a weirdass mag that can give Bayonetta a 10. That's terrible scoring and reviewing worthy of the Famitsu award.

@Xen

I don't need to play to say that. It looks like a halfassed effort to me (heck, look at the "excellent" job they did with the PS3 version), unlike the other three.
It's true that Edge magazine does have some strange and polemical standarts for their reviews and they do lack consistency in most cases.
In DA case, i'll wait for their review of Mass Effect 2, since it falls into the same category of DA:O, albeit with a simplified UI and a more TPS mechanism to it, yet, if it does fall into numbers way above DA:O then that's just another proof of their inconsistency and lack of professionalism.

Edge score are strange lately
looks like they love JRPG more than WRPG, didn't they give Manga Carta 2 an 8 ?

@Nen-suer
Yes, they do love their JRPG's, but they also gave high scores to Fable II, Mass Effect and Fallout 3, so they have no excuse to give DA:O that score.

@iBlah
And that was a deserving score, the game is trully worth of praise, yet DA:O is not worth of an 5, having played it exhaustively, it's one of the best WRPG's that Bioware has ever made, with the incorporation of the best features both KOTOR and Baldur's Gate had, plus a story that can easily eclipse both of those games, so there's no excuse other than a complete dislike for those type of games from the reviewer (which leads to the question, should he review games that doesn't fit into his/her genre?)
