gears 2
| Serious_frusting said: I know the 3rd screen in gears 2 is gameplay. And the first screen in batman is aswell. All the others are not though. I aint too sure about the first gears screen. Anyway i go for gears of war 2. Batman isnt really that graphically advanced. It s just very consistent throughout. |
The first Gears screen is gameplay, right at the fall of Jacinto. Perhaps you forgot how good the game actually looks. Pop it in and be amazed again.
All of the pics for both games are real gameplay.
I replayed Gears 2 about two weeks ago and I noticed a lot of graphical blemishes that I didn't notice before. At the same time, riding on the assault Derricks and the underground and Jacinto stages are still incredible showcases. The times where hundreds of guys were onscreen or little things going on inside of massive environments make me lean towards Gears 2.
There are times where Batman impresses the hell out of me, but the game is mostly tight corridors and court yards. Batman is amazing, but Gears gets the nod.
Gears 2 - although the character models and animation for fighting in Batman were superior I thought.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
On a technical level GeOW probably wins. Although GeOW 1 and 2 are probably my least favorite looking games ever just because of the art direction.
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
