Forums - Sony - Things I like about the PS3

1) surfing the net doesn't take 5 minutes to boot up my PC

2) I listen to music through it, watch movies on it, surf the net on it, upload my photos, connect it up to my PC wirelessly, and soon be watching TV through it.

3) can get on it anywhere with my PSP

4) WARHAWK rocks my socks

5) it looks good on my black desk, with black HD TV... shiny (and furry)

6) free PSN

7) Blu Ray is awesome - DVD just isn't the same anymore :(

8) listening to wii60 fanboys tell me how rubbish it is :D hahaha!

3. HD capabilites (blu-ray, movies, upscaling etc)
4. Back-compat (certainly for me)
5. Warhawk and other great cheap dlg (Flow etc)
6. Future games (from 1st/2nd party + FF XIII etc)
7. FREE ONLINE
8. Wireless controls
9. FIRMWARE UPDATES
10. Built in Wi-fi

13. Being able to download stuff from US PSN in UK

Fear is not the only thing stopping people from buying PS3s. Price and games are much more important in that regard.

Sorry but I dont agree.

I like my 360 because of oblivion, halo3, bioshock and The Orange Box. Im going to get Mass effect when it comes out but in no way Im I going to say I like my 360 because of Mass Effect, its just stupid. What if I said i liked my 360 because of Mass Effect and it turned out to be aloud of crap?

When IVE ACTUALLY PLAYED SMG for the wii, THEN I'll say I love my wii because of it. Until that I love my Wii because of Wii Sports, MP3 and RE4.

 You can say that you love sometihng because of the potential it has, although it would not be valid if you listed it s you're only reason. If two things are similar, surely you would choose the one that has more potential for the future. For example, you wan't a games console to entertain you know, but you love the FF or MGS games, you are going to buy a PS3 because those games are coming, and Uncharted and Ratchet will keep you entertained until then

I agree, this thread is a breath of fresh air around here. I have already stated my reasons for liking the PS3, as has everyone else.
It is very easy to respect what the PS3 is, and what it has the potential to become.
3rd place has never been so sweet..
