vizunary said: i've had mine for awhile and just love it more and more, especially since the games i've been waiting for are getting here. R&C, assassin's creed, uncharted, CoD4, i could go on but you know em. definitely the BLU-RAY capabilities as well, my collection has grown to 82 titles now, with ratatouille coming tuesday! dvds do get harder and harder to watch. the free online is also a major plus for me since my online gaming is few and far between, so i would never pay for it, but it's nice to have when i'm in the mood. the built in browser has also become one of my favorite features, i'm using it now! and of course my favorite series of all time is making it's nextgen debut in less than 6 months... MGS4!!!
@makingmusic, hey, you and your XBR4 can just kiss my butt... j/k, nice TV man! |
Thanks man.
Yeah, my Dad's been holding off on buying an HDTV for a couple of years now, despite us both wanting one. "I'll wait until the prices drop," he kept saying. Well, this year, my Mom saw an LSU game on my Uncle's 50" Panny plasma, and she fell in love with it. That basically decided that we'd get an HDTV in some form this year. Of course, my ps3 and Blu-Ray helped persuade my dad a bit too. :P
Anyway, me and my Dad went to Best Buy one day so I could show him all the different types of displays, and about ten minutes into it, he points across the Magnolia room at an XBR4, and goes, "I want that one." I tell him it's expensive as hell, since it's the top LCD on the market. I figured that would change his mind real quick, because he's a real cheapskate, but he simply replied, "So? It's got a great picture, and it's the one I want." I almost shit myself with excitement.
Well, this weekend, Circuit City had the TV for $1500 off, so we went and picked it up as an early Christmas present. :D
