JRPGs can be as good or better, but I agree Bioware is a much better company than SE. I am not even looking forward to FF13 at all unfortunately. SE achilles heel is the fact that anything they touch with localization turns to absolute and utter shit. They could get away with it in 2000, but in 2010 theres no excuse for it, there just isnt.
SE-char 1 " scheeech scheech scheech"
SE-char 2 " whine, schreeech "
SE-char 3 " grate... grate... grate " ( my nerves )
SE-char 4 thru 100 " I sound like im acting so much, that it doesnt matter if my voice doesnt naturally sound worse than cats claws on the blackboard, I will still fill you with disgust"
SE-char 101 " Yeah, theres one of me - who sounds decent.. yay! To bad I couldnt have gotten on the JPN audio with the rest of the competant people"

Contrast this with Dragon Age: Origins.... there is hardly a bad line in that game. Not only do you not have to hold your nose while listening to it, it actually sounds GOOD.... Voice acting is important these days, because theres just no excuse not to do it well anymore.
