I just needed to set up everything again, which will annoy the hell out of me if it happens with future updates. Now I need to do the same for my international accounts which I don't remember the e-mails and/or passwords for. That means I need to do it all over again and make all new accounts.

Just consider it as doing your part to help PSN reach 40 million accounts.

This is probably how they are reaching that high number.

Anyways, I also found that I lost my JPN account.

Now i'm mad. I wanted to download the JPN 3D Dot Game Heroes PSN Trailer tonight.

*sigh*

Better hurry, before Nintendo's lawyers make them pull it.

you cant just login with your former account information? your account is in the PSN not in your console... a console update cant close a PSN account of sony's servers ... could it? i dont think so! i can login with my account in alot of consoles... in my notebook... every where...

This is not normal and is some kind of error.

Completely your fault for not remembering the login details for your multiple accounts though.

I agree with your second point, but at the same time I shouldn't expect to have all my system info, other than my trophies and game saves wiped off my PS3 after an update.

I guess this hasn't happened to anyone else. Well, at least I didn't get the YLOD right?

Well I got my main account back because I actually know the information for it. It is my international accounts I am upset about now.

I never thought something like this would happen and now I need to make all new accounts.

Anyways, off to play Borderlands.

That's why automatic "cookies" that save information for you is a bad thing, the second they go away, you need a new account as 99% of people will not remember their passwords. I'd suggest trying to do a password recovery or something, but the process will probably be in what ever language the account is in so that might be hard.

while very inconvenient, you are lucky that is the worst that has happened. you still have all your important shit like saves. luckily nothing was literally "lost"

^ Agreed. I would have been quite upset if I lost my Demon's Souls saved game file.
