He obviously meant to say "going by the attach ratio". The average PS3 owner buys more games than the average Wii owner. |
You mean the average PS3 owner buys more games for Wii than the average Wii owner?

Overall attach ratios are about the same actually. 360 leads both a by a bit.

Demons Souls is a Sony game. There are more 3rd party million sellers on Wii than PS3 btw (41 to 32).

Of course, after all the Wii has all the games that really matter while the PS3 is used to watch Blu-Ray movies. You should know from personal experience. |
So true, I just watched "Up" on Monday

lack of advertising hurt the sales for some of the games listed. i don't understand how developers expect gamers to buy their games if no one knows about them.

Marvelous is AWFUL at promoting their games, but that's something Wada's taken responsibility for before at least. Hopefully that changes.
Honestly though, if ARF had been published and promoted by someone like Namco, Sega or Square Enix, I think it'd have easily sold 3 times as much in Japan.
Or if a game isn't available anywhere (Muramasa in Europe for example).
It's really hard to believe those PSP games made money. How little effort did they put into it haha. Oh well I suppose. Guess development costs must have been minuscule. But I assume developing on the handhelds has to be a lot cheaper.
Saddened for a few of those Wii titles, but they've only developed some in a few regions so really hard to gear because of that. Not to mention selling licenses has got to help.
But as I said earlier, outlaw, Marvelous needs to work on that marketing haha. You can't expect anything to sell well if no one knows about it.

The situation is the same with Mario and Sonic. Nintendo published the title in Japan, but did not directly develop the title.
Yeah, their Wii titles were generally higher budget and their PSP were all super cheap.
