Not at all. It's not like Europe is suddenly one country. And he only has a say on certain issues.

I know, I just wanted to sound dramatic

Besides, Obama is second, Chuck Norris is first.

aghain with the tory media... the media in this country is left of centre...

OT

Who will the president be??? oh... just some unelected, unrepresentative, overpaid prick no doubt.

Another nail in the coffin of democracy.

Look up on his duties, he's nowhere near a "president". For-sitter, chairman... would be more accurate.

That's actually right.

Looking at his duties:

Chairs EU summits
Drives forward the work of EU Council of Ministers
Facilitates cohesion and consensus
Represents the EU on the world stage
He's halfway between chairman and PR guy
President doesn't seem like the most accurate word for the position.

The name "President" probably exists so that they can extend the position's power at later dates.

the BBC is centerist...Channel 4 Ill grant you, they show almost anything though...ITV and C5 are just irritating crap

Sky is Right wing...surely even you dont think Murdoch is a lefty? or are you so fundy right wing that you do?

er, read the other posts, the EU President role is hardly even worthy of the name, its literally just an organiser role, did you even read the links? no, of course not, they show the facts, and the facts are that the EU is nowhere near as bad as you want to think it is.
