While its true that their 2 last years wasnt very good, they have a pretty good momentum right now. And the technologies that costed them a lot to develop and sell to consumers is finally selling and should be future proof for a couple of years, so I dont think they are in a really bad position.
They also make sure that their device could be use together (PS3 with PSP with camera with laptop with 3D with PS3 and so on), and also that their device would push sells of proprietary format, that is a pretty good moves from them and maybe the only company that did that, at least at this scale.
Another things is that before being bankcrupt they could probably sustain another 2-3 years at this rate before even having to sell assets. So the title of this tread makes no sense.
P.S.: Smal reflection: selling quality product nowadays is hard because consumers always want to buy the cheapest. So its hard for company like Sony but easy for company like Samsung. American (im one) should change their mentality.
