Forums - Nintendo - Reggie wants Little Big Planet, Halo, Bioshock on Wii

Goldeneye co-existed beautifully with Nintendo's lineup on the N64. In fact, I'd dare say that's the main reason Xbox took more marketshare from Nintendo than Sony: people recognized N64 as the console for FPS in it's generation, and Xbox took that crown away. I know a couple of Nintendo gamers that switched to Xbox for that reason.

What I'm saying is, a quality FPS like Halo or Bioshock could do well on Wii...heck, Red Steel did well and it's supposedly not that great.

I think LittleBigPlanet fits well with the Nintendo philosophy, but Sony beat Nintendo to the punch, what can you do?

LBp does not belong on their platform wtf, what games have ever not belonged on PS hardware. PS consoles have always had a diverse line up of successful games, unlike nintendo.

Sony has had a diverse line-up? quite possibly but in all honesty Sony has always lacked multiple genres. Casual games for example their are a few on PS hardware in the past but not enough to really make Sony's consoles worth anything to a non-gamer. Then you have RTS where much like Nintendo Sony has been unable to really capture. But unlike Sony Nintendo DS is making RTS truely a game console genre (Not just PC).

Nintendo back during the NES/SNES had the most diverse libraries ever in the gaming industry. I remember playing a game where you were food in a kitchen on the SNES. I remember playing HarvestMoon on SNES before any other console. I remember playing all kinds of different genres on the NES/SNES. Bible games for example sure they weren't authorized by Nintendo but which consoles did they show up on? Nintendo's consoles with one exception coming to Genesis.

Fact is Nintendo has had just as much diversity as Sony ever has and this generation the PS3 is bland and lacks any true direction. Sure its a bit diverse but it has hardly anything. Nintendo's consoles however have broad appeal and tons of genres covered. Little Big Planet is innovative and creative it just doesn't match Sony's rip-off style. Sony has never created anything innovatiuve or creative for their hardware they always rip off their competition. It just doesn't really fit!
