I still dont see how a motion can be a more 'gimmiky' than a press of a button. As for the level design, people either love it or hate it. The boss battles are the shine of the game, but you have to go through some crap to get there.

I have to disagree. Killer 7 was a more stlyish game than NMH will ever be, AND it was released on the most popular console ever, but it still tanked.
