Yeah I know, I'm being generous to the PS3 when I compare it to the PSP, it'll probably do much worse than the PSP, the PSP has the advantage of more hardware iterations and stronger Japanese sales and its sales trned and weekly sales have been much better than the PS3's.
Yeah actually I did, and the fact is, MS is going to be the one setting the tone in price cuts going forward, so price won't help the PS3's sales much, as they stand to lose a lot of money by price cutting so they'll be hesitant to do so, in addition it won't put PS3 sales on a trend line ahead of the PSP, as we've seen even now, the PS3 sales lag the PSP both in weekly and overall.
No FF13 won't its split in the west and in Japan its going to be frontloaded, look at other FF games, they have one week spikes.
GT5 will sell a little better, but its not likely to reach 10 million, its on a smaller base than the earlier GT's and no PS3 game has even gotten close to 10 million, so GT5 is unlikey to get to 10 million.
It doesn't matter what they said, before 2012, they'll be planning to launch, because before then, sales will be in decline, and Price cuts will basically be exhausted, as by 2011-2012, one or both of the top of the line 360 and PS3 systems will be around $150, not to mention, both motion controllers NATAL and Sony Wand will not meet with much success this gen, so both will be trying to launch them with their next gen consoles to cut into the Wii's base.
